Snake Davis Returns to Husthwaite Village Hall

Snake Davis returns to Husthwaite Village Hall with his Classic Sax Solos show on Saturday 7th October 2017

If you haven't heard Snake Davis yet then try and make this evening as it will be memorable and fabulous.

This hugely popular Classic Sax Solos tour is now in it's third year and sees Snake Davis step into a 5 piece band (keyboards, drums, bass, guitar and vocals). New tunes have been added to the set list and the favourites are still there too. The myriad of classics include: Baker Street, Careless Whisper, Still Crazy after all these Years, Respect, Yakety Yak, and Snake's own solo from Million Love Songs, Moving on Up, Search for a Hero and Lisa Stansfield's "Change". Snake reveals their background and history as well as playing them in context. What is that individual ingredient that makes them classic? How did they come about and how did players produce that magic?

An instrumental solo can break hearts, lift spirits, even change lives in extreme cases. Sax is the favourite instrument for many folk, and for good reason. Saxophone, in the right hands, is so emotional, so passionate; it sings, screams, whispers.

Imagine a room full of saxophone greats; Junior Walker, King Curtis, Clarence Clemmons, Charlie Parker, Michael Brecker and more. Snake can deliver them all; challenging - yes but he completely nails it!! Sultry sax, searing sax, screaming sax, sexy sax, soulful sax, this show has it all.

Book tickets now to avoid disappointment. This is a mostly standing gig and there will be a minimal number of seats at the show for people who really need one (so be sure to reserve a seat if required when booking your ticket). Tickets are £16 (£14 students and children under 16 years). Doors and bar open from 7pm and music from 7.30pm.
